Free dance teacher wellbeing sessions with Sho

Free Monthly sessions enjoying energising movement and some mindful relaxation

For several months, last year during lockdown and beyond Sho held weekly Free Mindful Relaxation sessions for dance teachers on Zoom. Now we are back in lockdown it was time to consider doing something similar to help dance teachers focus on themselves for an hour to do something positive for their own wellbeing. On Monday of this week Sho led a session in energising movement and some mindful relaxation. Teachers enjoyed the feel good benefits of the session and some lovely messages have since been received. Sho has agreed to offer some more of these FREE sessions for dance teachers on a monthly basis until further notice.

Mindful relaxation sessions finish at the end of July

We have been doing these free mindful relaxation for dance teacher, sessions since April and now they are coming to an end. This is because dance teachers are getting ready to get back into their studios and venues to teach once again.

It has been lovely doing these weekly sessions and I hope if you have joined us at any point along the way that you have enjoyed them too.

Good luck to all dance teachers getting back into the swing of classes and coping with all the changes that are required.

Don’t forget there is still time to book a place on the next short online courses beginning in August. Bookings close on Monday 27 July 2020.

Free mindful relaxation with Sho

If you want to join us in a Free mindful relaxation for dance teachers session tomorrow morning at 10am (UK time 8 May 2020) all you need to do is leave a comment below and the joining Zoom link will be emailed to you today or first thing tomorrow morning – remember to check your junk mail folder in case it has landed there.

These short sessions take about 30-40 minutes and they are a great way to do something for you during lockdown and the challenges that it brings for dance teachers. You don’t need to have done any mindful relaxation before. The session can be done sitting in a chair, sitting on the floor or if you prefer, you can lie down.

Friday’s FREE Mindful Relaxation for Dance Teachers. You are welcome to join us tomorrow morning at 10am (UK time) for this free session with Sho.

An email invitation is sent out with the Zoom link on Thursdays (today) for the session on Friday. The link is now the same one each week but as a reminder it is sent out each week anyway.

If you are not on the email list all you need to do is leave a comment below on this post and you will be added to the list to receive your Zoom invitation to the session.

Don’t forget that you can join Sho for FREE mindful relaxation sessions for dance teachers on Friday mornings at 10am (UK time) during lockdown.

To register interest all you need to do is leave a comment on this post – below. You will be emailed a link the day before the Free session so you can join the session on Zoom.

This is a great time to do something for yourself – dance teachers are often busy helping others but with lockdown you may have 30-40 minutes on a Friday that you can spare to join this session. No experience in mindful relaxation is required and you might find that you want to use the skills we use at other times during the week and also with your students in the future.

NB: the link being sent out on Thursday (23 April) will enable you to join the mindful relaxation session each Friday morning. You won’t need to get a different link for each week.
